Welcome!
You’ve just taken your first step towards healing!
If you’ve been drawn to this website, anxiety and/or trauma is likely causing anguish in your life. Congratulations on exploring options for help! I am so glad you’re here.
Are you constantly plagued by “what if” worries? Do anxious thoughts or traumatic memories cause you to feel numb inside or on-edge, waiting for the next bad thing to happen? Does all this tension cause exhaustion, illness, and aches and pains in your body? Do you feel unsure of yourself and wish you had more confidence to fulfill your dreams? And do your relationships with others suffer due to all of the above, causing loneliness and disconnection? I get it. I want to help! I am a Tulsa therapist, specializing in helping adult trauma survivors and those with high anxiety access a place of peace where they feel empowered, safe, and better able to connect with others.
And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

Meet Pam
I’m Pam Nelson, Tulsa therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Trauma Informed Yoga Therapist, Certified EMDR Therapist, and certified facilitator of the Overcome Anxiety Clinic. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you discover the thought patterns and behaviors that are keeping you stuck and unhappy. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help you reprocess distressing memories from the past and discover more adaptive beliefs to help you move forward. For adult survivors of childhood trauma, I guide you in learning to reparent the most innocent parts of your soul so you can feel safe and unconditionally loved in the way you’ve always deserved. I also interweave yogic practices such as asana (yoga stretches), pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation into the therapy process to help you access a peaceful state of calm, regardless of past or present stressors. I would be honored to join with you to help you feel empowered, regain control of your body and mind, and to help you live your most authentic, joyful life!
