Pam Nelson


I have served in the mental health field for over 19 years in various settings: Community mental health, schools, home-based work, and in private therapy practice. I earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in the Tulsa, OK area, a Registered 200 Hour Yoga Teacher, a certified Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher, an EMDR Clinician, and a certified facilitator of The Overcome Anxiety Clinic. I firmly believe in a holistic approach to therapy:  Your mind, body, and spirit must be equally addressed in order to find relief.

Starting the therapy process might seem really scary.  The idea of sitting in a room and telling a complete stranger your most private thoughts can be so intimidating! My style is far from stuffy and clinical.  I am kind, down-to-earth, and genuine.  I’m equal parts educated, highly driven, motivated and peaceful, spiritual yogi! My goal is to combine my years of training along with these qualities to create an environment of unconditional acceptance where you feel motivated and empowered to create change in your life.

Yogic practices entered my life many years ago during my own struggles with trauma and anxiety; and they completely transformed me in the best possible way!  I am passionate about sharing these healing practices with others. I truly feel that my purpose on this earth is to help my clients learn to live through love rather than fear and to discover their most authentic, joyful life!
